I see so many resumes every week that I have gotten used to the boring and tired old formats that people use. I think that one of the worst problems that anyone can face when applying for jobs is sending in a less than professional resume. Free resume templates, MS Word templates and so forth are a waste of time. Nothing on those will give you the edge to get ahead and make it past the reject pile.

Simply put- you need at least the assistance of a great resume review to know how to position your resume and do it yourself  (and there are Free Resume Reviews out there to help) or you should hire a professional resume writer that can make you look spiffy and make your resume shout- ‘Look at me- I’m the one you want!’

So, can you really blame the companies that are finding it difficult to find a good candidate for the position? Or all the companies that keep rejecting your application? I don’t blame them. Resumes without that extra polish and focus are a waste of your time. Take advice from a professional: whether you do it yourself or hire someone to create it,  re-write your resume and make it look snazzy. Your career will thank you!
