Signs You Would Perform Better in a Day Job or a Night Job

We are all different. Just like animals, some of us are diurnal and some of us are nocturnal. Some people just seem to need a lot of sunlight and some just thrive during night time. If you have an inclination to a certain time of the day then it would be wise for you to take a job where you can perform at your best.

Here are signs you would perform better in a day job:

1. You have no problems waking up in the morning.
2. You love the sun.
3. You like being around a lot of people.
4. You don’t mind the traffic or the rush hour blues.
5. You like to be seen wearing your fashionable ensembles.
6. You’re the first to doze off during night outs or dinner parties
7. You vie for a perfectly normal life.
8. You live an active life and you don’t mind the daytime noise.

On the other hand, here are signs you would perform better in a night job:

1. You absolutely despise heavy traffic.
2. You’re not afraid of the dark.
3. You have no problems sleeping though everyone else is awake and noisy.
4. You enjoy seeing empty streets with not a lot of people around.
5. You don’t have kids to bring to school or take care of during the day.
6. You don’t mind being a bit eccentric and having a work schedule out of the norm.
7. You can party until the sun comes up.
8. You don’t mind being disoriented about what time or what day it actually is.

It’s a huge misconception that people who have night jobs are less sociable and have jobs that are less stressful. There can also be plenty of excitement at night time. Events and parties are often held at night; in healthcare, law enforcement and night security, often there are emergencies that are encountered even in the wee hours. Mostly the downside to working at night is being disoriented about what day it is since the date changes during their shifts plus it’s hard to keep up with friends and family who have a regular daytime schedule of activities. For day jobs, people have to deal with really heavy traffic and rush hours so arriving late at work can often be a problem, plus a ton of other inconveniences. Each of these shifts have their own advantages and disadvantages. No matter what time of the day you choose to work, picking the one that suits you assures that you can perform at your peak and deliver the best output possible.

So…do you prefer to work during the day or during the night?
