What I tell all of my clients who order just a resume... If you haven't already ordered a cover letter- I do highly recommend them- and that is not just an up-sell tactic. So many employers today check out cover letters to see how you establish and distinguish yourself as a professional. And yes- cover letters can overall be generic but need to be easily changed and tweaked a bit to fit each company you apply to. This is yet another show of how professional and serious you are.
